Steinway Young Artist Program
The Steinway Society of Western Pennsylvania hosts auditions each spring for students of piano teachers who are SSWP members. Accomplished pre-college piano students who can perform by memory several pieces from the standard piano repertoire are encouraged to participate. Qualified students will have the opportunity to perform in various venues including recitals at the recital hall of our local Steinway dealership, recitals in the Heinz Hall lobby preceding Pittsburgh Symphony subscription concerts, and master classes with renowned pianists. Students selected to perform on the Heinz Hall lobby recital series are also eligible to participate in a concerto competition, the winner of which performs with the McKeesport Symphony. More info...
