Competition 2008 - 2009 Piano Competition February 8th, 2009 - Trombino Piano Gallerie Public Welcome: Check Back for More Information $3,000.00 Total Award Money First Place Winner Awarded $2,000.00* and a solo piano perfomance for The Steinway Society of Western Pennsylvania and a performance with the McKeesport Symphony Second Place Winner Awarded $1,000.00* and a solo recital for The Steinway Society of Western Pennsylvania *In the event of a tie for first place, the award will be split, awarding $1,500.00 to each winner and no second place award will be given.

Competition Requirements

• Applications must be Received by January 15th 2009.  Applications may be submitted by mail or online. 

• Applicants must meet the following criteria

  • Age: 18 to 25 years of age at the time of the competition.

  • Reside in Western Pennsylvania or West Virginia (or)
    Enrolled as a full time student in Western Pennsylvania or
    West Virginia

  • Must be currently enrolled in a professional music degree or diploma program or hold a professional music degree or diploma

• Application fee is $35.00
